Project Description

FAB contributes to the objective to improve the capacities of the member countries to put in place effective responses on the long-term integration of persons seeking international protection, coherently with the provisions of the policy agenda of the European Union. FAB Consortium is composed by 5 City Administrations (Milan, Berlin, Stockholm, Vienna and Madrid) through the relevant services and departments working on integration policies, labour market, social services and women integration; the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs in Serbia.

In Milan and Berlin two private agencies are involved to support the city administrations, with competences on the topics addressed and on the design and management of Europe-wide programmes and projects: Afolmet, the Milanese publicly owned company, dealing with employment and training of refugee population, and MetropolisNet EEIG, a unique network located in Berlin, composed of different types of organisations developing and implementing local strategies for employment and social inclusion, including migrants and refugees, in 8 European cities.

By the end of the project, it is expected that FAB will have eased the effective integration of around 350 refugees, out of which 50% women, in 5 countries, through: a) establishing a sustainable and effective Peer mentoring model among cities; b) piloting and testing the most relevant measures for fast-track and women integration in partners’ contexts and c) developing innovative mechanisms, practices and policies starting from the results experienced during the project lifetime.
