Project Description

SYMPATIC addresses the employment situation of young people under 30 that remains alarming in many EU countries due to high rates of unemployment and precarious working conditions.

Partners in all project cities work with young adults in the field of transnational mobility and see the need to better link the young people’s experience of working abroad with the job offers and needs of local companies.

This project should raise awareness of employers to value the experience and the (informal) competences gained abroad by the young adults; create better networks between companies and mobility organisations; enable first steps into sustainable career paths of the young adults.

These aims will be reached by:

  • developing a detailed study about the labour reality and profiles needed (hard and soft skills) looking at the tourism sector as an example – IO1 Occupational Profiles
  • developing a training and a manual for the tutors in the companies, before and after the mobility / VET so that they can monitor the young people and can support / facilitate the professional integration – IO2 Tutor’s Kit
  • training to become a job coach with a focus on coaching young adults going on international mobilities and their subsequent integration into the labour market – IO3 Mobility Pack
  • An online platform with the objective to connect the young people who participate in the project and the recruiters of the companies to encourage better communication between them and above all facilitate an effective matching – IO4 Online Platform
