Project Description

The EPWESS project is located in the context of Entrepreneurship Support Services (SAEs). The need for support and assistance to entrepreneurship is an area that permeates any country which bases its growth strategy in promoting the creation and consolidation of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The project consortium consists of the Spanish lead partner (FCVPE, Valencia) and partner organisations from Italy, Turkey, Portugal and Germany working in the field of VET and integration into employment.

Transfer of Knowledge, lack of formal recognition and visualization in this field of work are three key concepts that explain largely the motivation of the partners of this project to work in the proposed direction. The project uses a methodology based on the implementation of different heterogeneous activities that provide added value to the final products:

  • Fieldwork (questionnaires), with research and development (connection of the results of the questionnaires under ECVET)
  • co-development of a comprehensive training guide and
  • technical tasks (online validation tool).

By using the products of this project, any practitioner working in a SAEs can easily compare his/her competences and what skills he/she needs to develop the activities in any European country, thanks to the use of ECVET framework.

In addition, it is being planned to conduct a pilot training course to be attended not only by practitioners working in the SAEs but also by participating members of institutions related to the subject, as could be public authorities, universities, schools, SMEs themselves, etc … Through the participation of different actors involved in the project topic, the partnership will be able to improve the training guide to enhance the final impact that project outputs will have.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

The primary objective of EPWESS is to improve the professional training of the SAEs’ staff; through the detection of strengths and weaknesses through a massive collection of questionnaires in four countries Turkey, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Germany) participating in the project; by defining what the correct profile is in terms of skills of the target group, in total connection with the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training based on the information obtained in the previous phase; through an online tool that will generate a portfolio that will contain, in turn, acquired skills in order to make them visible, transferable, comparable to Europe; through a useful training guide for SAEs.
