The first of two policy practice workshops on labour market integration for female refugees was held today in Berlin.  Participants discussed best practices and lessons learned from projects in Berlin and in Vienna, which were piloted as part of the Fast Track Action Boost (FAB) project.

In cooperation with the Berlin Senate Department for Integration, Labour and Social Affairs, the first workshop offered fascinating outcomes from the Job Boost and the Refugees in Work pilot projects in Berlin, as well as the START project in Vienna.

The next workshop will offer a view into even more efforts and interventions to facilitate labour market integration. This will include input by the Jobcenter Treptow-Köpenick, the Berlin-Brandenburg Federal Agency for Labour, and the Berlin Senate Department for Integration, Labour and Social Affairs.

We look forward to more fruitful discussions on the many initiatives, support instruments and interventions currently being tested. Which have been more successful? What still needs to be improved or further developed?

The FAB project responds to refugees’ needs, with a focus on women, by transferring and adapting good practices for job inclusion among European cities. It provides an innovative European policy approach inspired by the genuine values of European cooperation. FAB is co-funded by the programme EaSI of the European Commission and implemented by a consortium of 10 partners in 6 countries.
