Project Description

Euro I VET is a European funded project working across the the UK, France, Germany, Ireland and Sweden. The project will support Vocational and Educational Training (VET) professionals  who are working in European inner-city, multi-cultural settings supporting  young people at risk of not sustaining or under-achieving within initial VET. The main objective is to support them to access, sustain and achieve iVet and therefore improve their prospects and prevent risks of social exclusion. Another important objective is to increase partnership working between employers, VET providers, guidance and education staff through peer learning and exchange of good practice.

It´s specific objectives are:

Equip professional VET staff with the skills and competencies to bridge the ´culture clash` between disadvantaged young people, employers and vocational education. The project aims to achieve this by developing:

  1. A) a new occupational profile,  
  2. B) A competency framework
  3. C) A training curriculum
  4. D) peer support network and
  5. E) A new European Level assessment, certification and qualification framework
